This was my first time attending Wekfest on the East Coast and I was definitely excited to see what the East had to offer.
To start things off the venue was a huge change to what I was used to. No parking structures or toll booth attendants taking your money to park. I just pulled up in the lot grabbed a spot at got to work.
Everything about the venue just felt more relaxed, Now I know the staff was working hard to get everyone in and keeping it all organized. They do a really great job. Thank you!
Making my way in I was ready to start shooting eveything first on vid than walkthrough again to try and get pics before general entry started and the crowds started pouring in. This is always my challange but what adds to the fun of the day.
Walking through I was surprised at the quality of the Honda on display. With examples form OEM+ thru full show car. I ended up spending a lot of time looking through and comparing them to what I was used to seeing on the West Coast.
In normal Wekfest fasion it wasn't just Honda's There were plenty of other cars to see. From a full race prepped Re-Amemiya rx7 to some really cool VIP builds. Let me know what you think.
I keep seeing RHD Evo's everywhere, They weren't this poppular on the West Coast but out here all the shows and meets I go to I always see a couple. Its really cool seeing all the different JDM RHD cars people are importing.
There were a few extreme build examples like the Volvo with the hand formed metal widebody and blower sticking out of the hood. This was a huge surprise and something outside the norm that I get to see
I really enjoyed my time shooting everything, meeting and talking with owners and other content creators, even comparing and talking about different setups. I've definitely been meeting some cool people out here on the East Coast. Its fun being back.
The show was completely worth the Wekfest name and represented some top builds from the East Coast. I'll continue running up and down the East Coast hunting out what the East has to offer and of course, comparing to how the West does it. Its all friendly fun. I'm just glad to see so many clean builds.
Here is a Vid from the day
Everything Else.. Enjoy!!
